My name is Rachel and I am a small town girl from Kansas.
Even though I'm a small town girl, I feel like I have accomplished many, big things!
For instance, massage has been my passion since I was in middle school. The reason why it inspired me so early was because whenever I wouldn't feel well, my mom would rub my back to make me feel better. Sure enough, it did, and that's when the idea struck me like a bolt of lightning: "I want to make people feel better too".
So the idea of massage has been with me ever since and I love to help people out because whenever they're satisfied, I am satisfied as well. Not just with massage, but I like to help people out whenever I can. Whenever I do something good for someone, it just makes me feel good and that's how I want to be known: not only a good therapist, but a good person as well.
I attended Heritage College in Kansas City, MO for therapeutic massage and graduated in April of 2009. Yes, I may not have been in the field for many years, but I do know what it takes to be a great massage therapist! It's not only about the actual massage, it's about having great communication with the client as well. Making sure the client (and therapist) is comfortable is always key! What turns into great energy, turns into a great massage!! =)
I would say that I am pretty good in Deep Tissue. My clients, family, and friends have told me that I have really strong hands and that I have "the magic touch". I also specialize in Swedish, NMT, Trigger Point Therapy, Chair Massage, Reflexology, Pregnancy Massage, Sports Massage, and Myofascial Release.
Massage isn't my only passion though, music has been my passion since I can remember!! Music is my everything...without it, life would be so boring! I have been listening to music for pretty much all my life and grew up to so many genres that I couldn't help but to love them all! Anywhere from Pink Floyd to Bob Marley, to Hank Williams Jr to Beatles, etc!! Classic rock, blues, reggae, techno, you name it!! In other words, music is a big part of my life!!
So I have 2 loves in my life and I add them together to be a part of Dr. Dot's team!! It is a great honor to be on the team and to be fulfilling my dream: being around massage and music! I would love to have you as my client! Not only will you be comfortable and relaxed, but you will have a great massage and be satisfied with the tranquil experience! =)
