Hey there! My name is Kristen and I am a proud graduate of Wellspring School of Allied Health in Kansas City, Missouri, in massage therapy, (MBLEx certified).
I remember when I was massaging friend's and family's backs in middle school, but never thought I'd take it this far. My mom has always told me that when I was born and given to her, the very first thing she noticed were my big hands. Never did I take that as a compliment growing up, but today they're my tools to help people feel better.
I was raised in Overland Park, Kansas, where I grew up riding horses, and playing sports. All of those combined activities must have been what developed my big hands into my strong hands, as people will say.
My dad had me listening to classic rock from when I was very young. Since then, I've picked up playing a couple different instruments, like playing the viola, and teaching myself how to play the piano and the steel drum. I listen to any song that sounds good, and shows the true art of the artist. I have always had a great appreciation for music and their artists, and am honored to work for Dr. Dot.
I whole-heartedly believe that massage is medicine. It helps the body heal itself of stress, tension, and pain - who wouldn't want to feel better? Seeing how happy and revived people are when they get off my table, is a great feeling, knowing that you have improved their overall wellbeing in some way.
