You know this Kayne West and P Diddy Combs seems like the same person. I don't know what instrument either of them play. As for these overly hyped up rappers, well that's the mainstream for you. I just don't pay that much attention to the mainstream world.

Oh HELL no, Frank Zappa would not watch the awards show. Nor did I. I don't even own a TV here in Germany lol

I certainly did not watch the VMA's show. I wouldn't watch that stuff. Personally, I think that stuff is a total farce.

I went to the FIRST EVER MTV Music Awards in 1984 with Joey Ramone. Some people asked if I was his daughter hahahaha

When I think of the music awards, a few items come to mind. Like when Jethro Tull won best heavy metal album of the year. I love Jethro Tull, but it was NOT a heavy metal album. Secondly, in 1971, "Ain't No Sunshine" by Bill Withers beat out "Lucky Man" by Emerson, Lake, & Palmer. Keith Emerson's synthesizer solo at the end of the song, was a milestone breakthough for electronic tonality with what he accomplished. That was the nail in the coffin.
